I like the challenge every day it's something different. There's always something new going on, something to do. I enjoy going to work. I enjoy the flexibility of the Department of Corrections because a lot of opportunity as far as career growth or lateral movement.

If you want to stay as a correctional officer for your entire career, there's many different spots you can work in different units, shifts, days off. You can move all about if you want to go for a career growth as far as like climbing the ladder, getting rank, you can work your way up that way through different positions

and get promoted as well. There's also different units of bureaus. You can work in the training division, you can work in investigations, you can work with the canines, you can be on the special teams. We have there's a lot of opportunities other than just security work.

So it can be really rewarding if you look for those opportunities.
